Description of Services
Foundation can provide assistance for:
- Financial assistance when facing a child's chronic or terminal illness
- funds for treatment, assistive devices, and specialized equipment not funded by OHIP or by family's private insurance
- funds for travel to and from hospitals or medical facilities
- accommodation expenses when receiving treatment more than 200 km away from their primary residence
- subsidies for daily living expenses when primary caregivers are unable to work because they are caring for their child
- No financial assistance is given directly to a family that has qualified. Each family is unique in their delicate situation and assessed on their needs. Each family that qualifies for financial assistance from Taraboom works closely with their Taraboom contact to allocate the approved funds to best suit each family’s individual situation.
- Assistance per family is once in a life-time only and the amount is on a per family need as determined.
