Description of Services

The Infectious Diseases Care Program offers the following services:

Medical consultation, assessment, follow-up and referral
Medication counselling, including drug / alternative medication interactions
Blood drawing
Preventive therapies and interventions
Clinical trials (medications)
Support and counselling
Nutritional assessment, counselling and education
Health promotion and teaching
Safer sex and safer needle use teaching
Community Education
Interpreter/translation services as required (arranged prior to visits)
Peer support

Treatment of complications * coordination of complex care, pharmacist consultations

Clinic also receives referrals for people with other acute and chronic infectious diseases
