Description of Services

Offers shelter to youth at risk

Support and advocacy to help youth make positive lifestyle choices, stay in school, find employment or attend counselling

Community Awareness and Advocacy - Community education and awareness of the causes, needs and effects of homelessness
  • Emergency Community Placement Coordinates short term emergency shelter for youth and adults in crisis * offers housing and lifeskills training to youth 16-24 in LOFY residential shelter for up to one year * provides support and assistance to youth in a housing crisis to make housing plans and to link with other relevant community services
  • Housing Support and Prevention Program Information, referrals, and mentoring to at risk youth who are either living independently or considering a move to independence
  • Life Skills Assists with the development of skills for independent living and supports the transition to employment by providing the skills needed to find and maintain employment
  • Living Options for Youth (LOFY) Supervised, transitional hostel program for male and female youth

About Us

Stratford/Perth Shelterlink exists to provide Perth County youth ages 16-24, who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, with shelter, advocacy services and basic needs.
