Description of Services

Provides a 20 bed shelter that provides a safe and supportive environment for women 16 years of age and older and their children fleeing abuse * services offered:

free, safe shelter that is non-judgmental and supportive for a period up to 6 weeks
crisis and support counselling for both resident and non-resident women
telephone counselling
community referrals and information
advocacy with community agencies
accompaniments
emergency transportation specific to getting you to safety
support for the children involved, including non-therapeutic counselling
safety planning
education
