Eligibility / Target Population

Adults 18-65 years who have a professionally diagnosed or self-identified disability * must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or have Refugee Status * must not be currently enrolled in school or enrolled to go back * must be able to commit to 30 hours per week for duration of program

Description of Services

Provides employment services for people with diagnosed or self-identified disabilities to help reduce barriers to employment and support participation in the workforce or further education.

Services include:
  • needs assessments
  • employability and skills development workshops
  • individual and group employment supports provided over a six-week program
  • assistance with identifying employment or training opportunities
  • connections to paid job placements or to appropriate courses and training opportunities
  • individualized support for participants and employers for up to 12 weeks following employment placement to promote job retention
