People 18 years of age or older who are medically stable with valid OHIP and are in need of help with activities of daily living and regular on-site supervision and monitoring

Description of Services

Provides caregiver relief away from home from two (2) to fourteen (14) nights, up to three (3) times per year at Oakville Senior Citizens Residence (OSCR) in Oakville * short stay rooms are located on the main floor of the OSCR's residential tower

Short stay services include:

help with personal care (bathing, toileting, dressing/undressing, brushing teeth)
medication reminders and management (some limitations apply)
3 meals and an evening snack each day
access to OSCR's programs, activities, entertainment and exercise groups
Care Coordinators and a Respite Advisor complete the assessment and intake, while dedicated staff at OSCR provide direct care
