Maintains services for crime prevention, law enforcement, assistance to victims of crime, public order maintenance and emergency response
Phone Resource Centre - Will evaluate the following complaints from citizens before an officer is dispatched to investigate: minor car accidents, phone harassment, credit card fraud, thefts and noise complaints
Community Foot Patrol Unit (CFPU) - Provides consistent and visible presence in the area of Downtown, Richmond Row, Old East London Village and the Hamilton Road business area * addresses quality of life issues, including panhandling, intoxicated persons, litterers and other nuisance type offences * officers on patrol can be reached at 519-933-1542 (West) or 519-670-4023 (East)
Complaint Process - A complaint must be documented on the approved form, signed and mailed, faxed or delivered to any police service or directly to the Office of the Independent Police Review Director in Toronto at 1-877-415-4773 (fax) or online
Police Pals - A community initiative that provides a plush German Shepherd dog to young children who may have experienced, or may be experiencing physical and emotional trauma
