Description of Services

Offers services, products, and information that remove barriers to communication, advance hearing health, and promote equity for people who are culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened and hard of hearing
  • Sells a full range of assistive technology including TTY's, amplified telephones, visual and amplified alerting/signaling devices, and FM systems
  • Provides consumers and the general public with information related to hearing loss, hearing protection, and the issues related to being Deaf, deafened, and hard of hearing
Administers the following programs:
  • Communication Devices
  • CONNECT Counselling Program
  • General Support Services Counselling
  • Hearing Care Counselling
  • Northern Literacy and Lifeskills Program
  • Sign Language Interpreting Services
  • Public Education and Information to Communities
  • Authorized vendor for Assistive Devices Program (ADP)
