Description of Services

Education and services for the prevention, management and treatment of diabetes
  • Works to increase early detection and to reduce the number of avoidable complications that can arise from uncontrolled diabetes
  • Advises on developing and implementing an approach to care and self-management of diabetes
  • Promotes increased physical activity and knowledge of healthy eating
  • Provides workshops, presentations and education for school children and community members
  • Provides services of a chiropodist
  • Offers individual, group and school counselling sessions
