Course registration * intake and orientation usually begins at least three weeks prior to first class date

Eligibility / Target Population

Adults 18 years and older who are Canadian citizens or landed immigrants and out of school at least one year * others may apply


Fees vary * tuition free for Canadian Citizens and Landed Immigrant adults (excluding PSW course) * activity fee for some courses, including PSW course

Adult and continuing education centre

Secondary school credit programs (Grade 9 to 12) for adults, continuing education and summer school for all students * day and correspondences/self-study courses * full or part time continuous entry courses * diploma and certificate programs * educational counselling to registrants * volunteer tutors available * limited child care services
  • credit for high school diploma
  • workplace training, career preparation and prior learning assessments
  • credit business and technical courses
  • International Languages Program (Elementary courses, Secondary credit courses)
  • Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) for Mature Students (18+)

English as a Second Language (ESL) - 519-452-2660 ext 69715 - General and specialty classes

Alternative Education programs throughout the city of London, Elgin, Middlesex and Oxford counties for youth in Grades 7-12
  • Adult High School Diploma Program Courses designed for adult learners who want to complete a secondary school diploma, upgrade marks for postsecondary admission, achieve Level 1 Apprenticeship trade or move into gainful employment * academic and technical education programs
  • Gateway Program (Upgrading) Free upgrading for adults who want to improve literacy, math, and/or computer skills *  provides support in clarifying upgrading goals and developing a training plan * flexible attendance options and learners can start any time during the school year * Classes in London, St. Thomas, Tillsonburg, Ingersoll, Woodstock, Strathroy, Parkhill, and online night school.
  • Personal Support Worker (PSW) Program A Co-operative education program which includes 330  hours of classroom theory and 330 hours of on-the-job training in agencies that employ PSWs * Clinical placement offers work experience in a long-term care home * Placement involves work experience in assisted living facility, an independent living facility, a group home, an adult day program, a hospice, a respite care facility for children, a community health agency, or a school
