Description of Services
Contracted by the Ministry of Community, Children and Social Services to deliver The Victim Crisis Assistance Ontario (VCAO) Program * VCAO programs work in partnership with local police and emergency services * managed by volunteer community boards of directors
On-site early intervention and crisis intervention * needs assessment * safety planning * referrals to community services * enhanced support for vulnerable victims * assistance with applications to VQRP+
Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP) - assistance with emergency expenses related to victims of violent crime types * no direct reimbursement to victims * financial support also available for victims who sustained serious physical injuries during a crime and for parents of child homicide victims and spouses of homicide victims
