Responsible for fire protection and prevention, and administration of the Ontario Fire Code

Issues applicable burn permits required for brush piles, incinerators and open fires, excluding campfires
Works in cooperation with White River Fire Department
Practises regular standardized training modules and members also attend external training opportunities
Maintains a fire hall, fire fighting equipment and 1 new fire truck

Provides the following services:

Education
Emergency planning
Fire investigation
Fire suppression
Hazardous materials information
Home safety which includes ensuring all homes are equipped with smoke alarms and charged fire extinguishers
