Wheelchair Accessible

Genetic Counselling Program

Provides information to individuals and families who are affected by or at-risk for inherited and/or genetic conditions

Offers several services, including:

Arranging and interpreting genetic laboratory test results
Assessment and diagnosis of genetic disorders
Discussion of the chance of developing and passing the disorder on
Information about the ways in which it may be prevented or helped
Participation in education and research
Provision of medical information and advice about genetic disease or condition to people at risk of a disorder that might be hereditary

Genetics Clinics

Holds clinics four to five times per year when one or two consulting geneticists visit Thunder Bay
Offers videoconferencing during the times between each clinic, if an urgent referral is needed
