Eligibility / Target Population
For a financial grant the applicant must be working or receiving financial benefits, must have a low income and reside in permanent housing. Contact the office for other eligibility criteria.

Description of Services
Provides personal support services to assist with housing search needs including advocacy/mediation. ONTARIO ELECTRICITY SUPPORT PROGRAM (OESP) - program provides a monthly on-bill credit for eligible households.
LOW-INCOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LEAP) - is designed for low income families and individuals who are having difficulty in paying a utility bill (gas, hydro). Families and individuals may qualify for a one time grant through an application process. Applicants must contact the Housing Help Durham office to be pre-screened.
HOUSING OUTREACH - works with seniors, families, singles and youth who are homeless, under-housed and/or at risk of losing their housing. The goal of this program is to prevent homelessness by helping clients to find and/or maintain their housing
