Description of Services
Provides a 20 bed shelter that provides a safe and supportive environment for women 16 years of age and older and their children fleeing abuse * services offered:
- free, safe shelter that is non-judgmental and supportive for a period up to 6 weeks
- crisis and support counselling for both resident and non-resident women
- telephone counselling
- community referrals and information
- advocacy with community agencies
- accompaniments
- emergency transportation specific to getting you to safety
- support for the children involved, including non-therapeutic counselling
- safety planning
- education
