Medical referral required

Internal - Submit referral through Centralized Intake Process

External - Submit referral by fax

Senior therapist will conduct a pre-admission screening once referral is made

Eligibility / Target Population

Individuals with conditions affecting the hands and upper extremities

Fees

Most services covered by OHIP * patients are responsible for cost of splints

Description of Services

Assessment, treatment, and education for individuals diagnosed with dysfunction, disease, or acute trauma to hands and upper extremities * services provided by an occupational therapist or physiotherapist may include:
  • manual therapy or soft tissue mobilization
  • hand exercises
  • custom splinting
  • retraining and stretching to regain comfort and function for the hand

Progression level of rehabilitative care for patients working to restore or maximize functionality
